摘要:

The first part of the presentation will be dedicated to describe how nonlinear optics in frequency domain instead of time domain allows to generate light fields with otherwise unachievable properties. As particular applications examples phase and amplitude shaping in the deep UV at 207nm will be discussed along with Fourier optical parametric amplification (FOPA) which enabled 30mJ, 2 cycle IR pulses at 1.8μm wavelength. The second part is dedicated to an alternative approach to FOPA for the generation of high power few-cycle pulses by means of post compression in long stretched hollow-core fibers. Preliminary results for pulse compression at the 50mJ level as well as average power scaling to the half kilowatt level will be presented.

 

报告人简介:

Bruno Schimdt博士于2008年在柏林自由大学获得博士学位,随后其分别在加拿大渥太华大学Paul Corkum教授小组,加拿大INRS进行博士后研究。2015年,其创立Few-Cycle公司并兼任首席技术官。 其研究兴趣集中在傅立叶非线性光学,超短脉冲压缩,高次谐波产生,阿秒科学,激光电子加速,强场太赫兹产生等方面。 其在Nature, Nature Physics等期刊上发表研究论文50余篇,被他人引用3000余次。
